Rock n' roll lineage
This past weekend Sarah and I met my cousin Janet at her tattoo shop in Narrowsburg, NY. By her own description she and her husband Larry (aka Crazy Fuckin' Larry) are "freaks." It was a blast to meet them both -- they've been on Geraldo and written up in tons of magazines for living the biker lifestyle. Their shop was busy in a fun way -- people from neighboring shops stopping by to chat etc. And while we were there a guy came in with his little son, who waited patiently while dad got a big tat on his back.The best part for me was getting Janet to reminisce about her uncle Wolfie -- my grandfather for whom I changed my name -- and my grandma, Blossom. He was so important to me -- so hearing her tell me how he was the "cool" uncle with the great stereo and the jazz on in the background and the open mind....well, it meant a lot to me.

Lissen-we both stand corrected on one detail...your Grandparents...ready...are not my aunt and uncle, but from the genealogical standpoint, family tree-wise they're my Great Aunt and Great Uncle,[because your Grandfather and my Grandmother are brother and sister, and your Mom and mine are first cousins] and as they always would say with emphasis on the GREAT, because they were and they knew it!!!
I asked my Mom the addy in Harlem for the family biznizz and she rattled it right off, you oughta mine her for some older info, she was pretty much there, ya know.
Well our place rocks all 4 seasons, looking fwd. to our next encounter!

ps/this is the life Eeeeeth, got 2 hummingbirds outside my window fighting over nectar from the feeders!!!! Oh yeah, my neighbors said to say "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."
I am new to the area up there but randomly found Janets tattoo shop. The sign on the door said open till at least 8. That had me laughing so later in the day we went back and got a few tattoo's. I got an anchor from CFL and my friend got a lightning bolt from CFJanet. They were both too cool, and made the weekend trip awesome. They also put me up on the Narrowsburg inn for a slamming burger and Skinners Falls for some sun and fun. Thanks again to CFL and Janet for the good shit!!!!
